Global Smartphone Manufacturer OPPO Deploys Kyligence Big Data Analytics Platform (KAP Plus) to Remove Big Data Bottlenecks

Santa Clara, California, November 7, 2017 – Kyligence Inc., a leading intelligent Big Data platform, announces that OPPO Electronics Corp., the 4th largest smartphone manufacturer and brand in the world, is deploying Kyligence Analytics Platform (KAP) Plus, an extreme OLAP on Hadoop solution for enterprise. Upgrading its legacy data system with KAP Plus allows OPPO to meet the demand of its rapidly growing user base of 200 million people across 20 countries.

The most important value of KAP is it aggressively reduces the efforts and time needed to build a Data Warehouse on Hadoop which speeds up and simplifies data access for our analysts, thus increasing their efficiency and productivity,” said Louis Wong, Head of Big Data at OPPO.

Prior to adopting KAP Plus, OPPO’s HBase system experienced frequent shutdowns and produced constant errors in its database. Since migrating its data to KAP Plus, 99% of the queries written by OPPO’s BI analysts have returned results within 1 second, and its cube-making process has been reduced to 15 minutes or less, while experiencing no system outage.

This dramatic improvement in efficiency and reliability allows OPPO analysts to analyze user metrics in depth and improve user experience on its smartphone’s apps and operating system to support better business decision-making.

Working to solve OPPO’s data operation bottlenecks really allowed our technology to shine, with its superior performance, concurrency, and stability,” said Luke Han, co-founder and CEO of Kyligence. “We hope our suite of products can help more businesses in the manufacturing and consumer electronics space with their Big Data challenges in the future.
