About the Role

Presales Solutions Architects at Kyligence are an integral part of our sales team. In this role, you’ll be working closely with our Account Executives to support POCs and deals that drive the adoption of Kyligence technologies. You will become an evangelist for Kyligence’s products and a trusted advisor to our clients.

What You’ll Be Doing at Kyligence

  • Provide technical sales leadership to the account team
  • Understand the business, technical requirements, and pain points of our prospects
  • Propose the right solution to solve our prospects’ problems
  • Define, plan, and execute the technical evaluation process and gain technical buy-in from prospects and their team
  • Coordinate post-sales transitions to professional and customer service teams
  • Create and deliver technical marketing content including blogs, knowledge base resources, webinars, and more
  • Participate in events and promotional activities such as trade shows and Meetups

What We’d like to See from You

  • 4-year bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or information management-related subject
  • 5+ years of experience working with large-scale enterprise data warehouses or analytics platforms
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in the field of Big Data
  • 3+ years of direct experience working with Cloud technologies (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud)
  • A deep understanding of OLAP technology and multidimensional modeling
  • Must be comfortable with Linux operating systems
  • Excellent communication skills. You can talk technology with engineers while explaining the business benefits to analysts and executives
  • Experience with Apache Kylin or Kyligence is a big plus
  • Able to travel to client sites for meetings and POCs

As the first line of communication with prospects, ideal SDRs have a strong understanding of the sales process, excel at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting our sales closers up for success. You should be a fast learner with strong communication skills and have the ability to explain our offerings in an intelligent way. Every potential customer is an opportunity for you to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels, and profitability.

Objectives of this Role

  • Represent our company’s products and services, starting with a comprehensive understanding and leading to customer research to identify how our solutions meet needs
  • Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding new opportunities
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage sales executives for next steps
  • Identify best practices to refine the company’s lead generation playbook

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Utilize CRM, cold calling, and email to generate new sales opportunities
  • Identify prospect's needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and sales executives
  • Report to manager with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Prior experience as a sales development rep with a track record of achieving sales quotes
  • Strong communication skills via phone and email
  • Proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
  • Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization

US Engineer, Mandarin Speaking

We are looking for a Mandarin-speaking engineer to join our team and develop the next-generation intelligent big data analysis platform.

Role and Responsibility

  • Work along with the creators of the Apache Kylin project to design and develop the next-generation intelligent big data analysis platform.
  • Tackle technical challenges including real-time data warehouse, SQL optimization, cloud native architecture, distributed storage and indexing, as well as enhanced analysis, etc.
  • Identify and debug system issues and/or performance bottlenecks encountered in complicated real-life business scenarios.
  • Demonstrate technical leadership in code review, knowledge transfer, and team trainings.
  • Help customers overcome barriers between their data platform (data warehouse, data lake) and applications (user profile, OLAP system, targeted marketing) with Kyligence products.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar fields
  • 3+ years of experience in Java development. Familiar with popular Java open-source frameworks (e.g., SpringMVC, MyBatis, SpringBoot, SpringCloud, etc.) and understand their principles and mechanisms.
  • Familiar with at least two or more of the following technologies: Hadoop, Spark, Impala, Flink, Druid, HBase, Redis, ElasticSearch. Having experience optimizing any software framework will be a plus.
  • Have system development experience (not just simply built and used some open-source system). Deeply understand and know how to process business use cases with high performance, high throughput, and high reliability.
  • Excellent communication skills and team collaboration and coordination skills. Proactive, responsible, and reliable.
  • Speaking Mandarin is required.
